Transradial Compression Bracelet Aids Hemostasis

July, 29, 2010 – A second generation transradial compression bracelet is designed to obtain a stable compression of the radial artery. The Zoom 2010 Transradial Compression Bracelet device from Zoom Co Medic can be adjusted by tightening the knob to increase or decrease the pressure as needed.

This bracelet is designed to obtain a stable compression of the radial artery, which will allow and uninterrupted flow of blood sufficient to protect the vascular system, while assuring adequate compression to avoid hematoma and encouraging prompt hemostasis.

The company said its compression device will be available starting September 2010.
