Transradial Compression Bracelet Aids Hemostasis

February 2, 2010 - A second-generation transradial compression bracelet, the Zoom 2010, is being released by Zoom Co Medic. This bracelet is designed to obtain a stable compression of the radial artery, which will allow an uninterrupted flow of blood sufficient to protect the vascular system, while assuring adequate compression to avoid hematoma and encouraging prompt hemostasis.

The Zoom 2010 is fitted with a pressure relief system on the upper part of the bracelet, which can be adjusted a notch at a time to increase or decrease the pressure as needed. The transradial device comes with a compression system and a sterile nonadhesive pad.

The company said the product should be available for shipment in April.
