NightHawk Radiology Taps TeraRecon for New Global 3-D Initiative


May 29, 2007 - TeraRecon, Inc., a developer of imaging processing technology and 3-D visualization solutions, today announced that NightHawk Radiology, a teleradiology services and solutions provider, has chosen TeraRecon as its technology platform for delivering image post-processing capabilities to its more than 1,300 contracted hospitals in the U.S., as part of NightHawk’s strategy to position itself as a leading provider of 3-D imaging services for radiology, cardiology and referring physicians.

In the deal, NightHawk’s will used dual redundant AquariusNET Servers and an Aquarius Advanced Pre-processing Server (APS). A team of expert 3-D technicians work on Aquarius Workstations at the company’s dedicated 3D lab in Austin, TX. After processing, the image data and 3-D work product are sent to NightHawk’s customers who are not only able to view the results, but can also further manipulate the images volumetrically using TeraRecon’s AquariusNET Server and a portable, archival savedstate capability called a Scene.
