TCT 2009 Highlights the Cutting Edge of Interventional Cardiology
This year's symposium, Sept. 21-25, in San Francisco will deliver the latest information on intervention cardiac technology and devices, backed by breaking clinical trial data.
Dr. Gregg Stone offered a preview of the event (click here for the full story) last week and said the biggest trends covered this year include percutaneous structural heart repair, medical therapy verses angioplasty, carotid and renal artery interventions, peripheral artery interventions, new heart failure therapies, new information on anti-platelet therapies, percutaneous interventions to mediate hypertension, and the latest on a variety of currently available and next generation stents.
TCT is also used as a soap box for disseminating key clinical trial data. This year, 18 late-breaking trials will be presented in the main arena. For a complete listing of the highlighted trials visit click here.
Fourteen other very important trials are also being presented in four-hour session Thursday, Sept. 24, “Featured Clinical Trials: First report Investigations.” For a complete listing of these trials click here.
To help attendees guide their way through all the booths and information on the exhibit floor, we created the TCT FastPass. It is a Web site devoted to the all the news and new products at the show. It includes a listing of products vendors are highlighting, which are organized by subject headings. To visit the FastPass site click here.
